Cédric Djeugoué (born August 28, 1992 in Mankwa ) is a Cameroonian soccer player who is currently under contract with Cotonsport Garoua and also plays for the Cameroonian national soccer team. He is considered a versatile defender who can be used in both internal and external defense and as a defensive midfielder .

Career

Djeugoué was trained at the Kadji Sports Academy and moved to Chad to Foullah Edifice in 2009 . There he was a regular player in central defense . With Foullah Edifice, Djeugoué won the championship in 2011 and thus qualified for the CAF Champions League 2012 , where they had to admit defeat to the Algerian club JSM Béjaïa in the preliminary round . Attempts have also been made to win him over to the national team of Chad . However, Djeugoué declined this offer.

In 2012 he moved back to Cameroon, where he initially signed with Douala AC . Here he drew the attention of Emmanuel Ndoube Bosso , who appointed him to the squad for the upcoming 2014 Nations Cup in 2013 . He played two qualifying games, but Cameroon could not qualify for the finals. Djeugoué has been playing for the Cameroonian top club Cotonsport Garoua since 2014 .

In 2014, Djeugoué was also appointed to the senior national team by Volker Finke . In preparation for the 2014 World Cup , he made his debut in a 2-0 win against Macedonia on May 26th. A few days later he was appointed to the Cameroonian squad for the 2014 World Cup. He is the only outfield player in the squad who is under contract in the domestic league.
