César / Best Movie Poster

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Winner and nominee of the French César film award in the category of best film poster (Meilleure affiche) . For the first time, winners in this newly created category were chosen at the 1987 awards ceremony. In 1990, a César was awarded in this category for the last time, as it was felt to be very difficult to reward the real creator of a movie poster: those who came up with the idea or those who put it into practice (e.g. B. advertising agencies, independent commercial graphic artists, etc.). In addition, numerous film posters for foreign and above all American films were imported, which made it even more difficult to precisely assign a person to a poster.

The films listed below are given with their German distribution title (if they can be determined), followed by the original French title in brackets in italics. The French original title is not mentioned if the German and French film titles are identical. The winners are highlighted first.
