César Martín Villar (born April 3, 1977 in Oviedo ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

César began his professional football career in 1994 at Real Oviedo . In 1999 the defensive player moved to Deportivo La Coruña after 101 missions and six goals for the equivalent of € 7.4 million . With A Coruña he won once a championship and a cup and twice the Supercup in Spain. After problems in A Coruña , César moved to UD Levante in 2006 , where he was only used three times.

From February 1, 2007 until the end of the season, the Spaniard was in England with the Bolton Wanderers under contract. He made his debut in the top English division on April 28, 2007 against Chelsea . However, this remained his only use in the Premier League.

In 2007/08 César Martín played for the Spanish second division club Hércules Alicante . In 2010 he ended his career.

Internationally, the Spaniard played twelve times for his home country and scored three goals. César was also in the Spanish selection for the 2004 European Football Championship in Portugal , but was not used.
