The Cézallier is a mountainous region of volcanic origin in the French Massif Central . Its highest point is the Signal du Luguet (1551 m).

The area is about 50 km south of Clermont-Ferrand on the border of the Puy-de-Dôme and Cantal departments between the higher mountain ranges of the Monts Dore in the north and the Monts du Cantal in the south. The mountain range is at an average altitude of 1,200 meters above sea level. It is part of the Volcans d'Auvergne Regional Nature Park .
