Cölestin Hoffmann von Greiffenpfeil
Cölestin Hoffmann von Greiffenpfeil (also Coelestin Hofman de Greiffenpfeil , Coelestinus Hofman von Greifenpfeil ; born October 22, 1635 in Frankfurt (Oder) , † August 5, 1688 ibid) was a German businessman and mayor.
Cölestin Hoffmann von Greiffenpfeil was a son of the Frankfurt mayor Melchior Hoffmann von Greiffenpfeil and his wife Eva Becker. He was married to Johanna Margaretha Riedel von Löwenstern (* October 29, 1636; † September 12, 1689), daughter of the Breslau councilor Matheus Riedel von Löwenstern and his wife Margaretha Becker von Rosenfeldt.
Greiffenpfeil was a Brandenburg councilor and mayor of Frankfurt. He was the heir to Schönefeld, Heinrichsdorff, Rosenfeld, Steckelin and Kehrberg. In 1688 he donated 600 thalers in his will for a family funeral in the north tower of St. Mary's Church in Frankfurt . The baroque poet Gotthilf Treuer wrote a funeral pamphlet on Greiffenpfeil.
The son Melchior became a Prussian lieutenant colonel and was heir to Heinrichsdorf from 1697. His son Gustav Eberhard became district administrator of the Greifenhagen district .
