CB Peñas Huesca (also known as CB Lobe Huesca ) is a Spanish basketball club from Huesca .

history

The association was founded in 1977. He started in the third division, from where he was promoted to 1ª División B , the then second division, in 1982. This was followed by the march through to the elite league of Spanish basketball, the ACB league . In this one could not keep up and promptly got down again. The following second division season, the team finished as champions and managed to get promoted again.

Now Huesca established itself in the ACB league, in which they were represented eleven years in a row. In 1987 and 1988 the team reached the play-offs, where CB Estudiantes and Cacaolat Granollers had to be beaten. It remained the only two play-off participations in the club's history. Between 1989 and 1993 the team was always placed in the lower midfield of the main round table. Between 1993 and 1996, the club had to play play-downs against relegation four times in a row. First, the team saved themselves athletically, the following year they lost the play-downs, but due to the waiver of CB Llíria it was allowed to stay in the league. In the 1994/95 season they secured the league again. The team prevailed against the Valencia Basket Club . In 1996 the time had come when Huesca had to move into the second division. As a result, the club continued to decline. More relegations followed until the club arrived in the fourth division in 2000.

In the 2009/10 season, the team made their way back to the second division, where it was 15th in 2010 and 2011.
