CCL14 ( English CC chemokine ligand 14 , synonym HCC-1 ) is a cytokine from the family of CC chemokines .

properties

CCL14 is a preprotein and is cleaved into an active form of 76 amino acids. The active form is involved in inflammatory processes. CCL14 has a high degree of homology to CCL3 and CCL4 . It activates monocytes . CCL14 is produced in the spleen , bone marrow , liver , muscles and intestines .
