CIAT SA (for Compagnie Industrielle d'Applications Thermiques ) is a French manufacturer in the field of air conditioning technology based in Culoz ( Département Ain , between Lyon and Geneva ).

The company originally started in the field of heat exchangers and over time has also been active in the fields of heating, ventilation and air conditioning. In 2010 CIAT had over 2200 employees (1500 of them in Rhône-Alpes and 400 in Andalusia ) and achieved a turnover of 272 million euros. The group has 9 plants, 6 of them in France and one each in Spain, Italy and China. CIAT was founded in 1934 with Jean Falconnier as President; In 1984 his son, Jean-Louis Falconnier, took over the management of the group. After the death of Jean-Louis Falconnier, his brother, Jean-Pierre Falconnier, took over the management.

In 2014, CIAT was taken over by the American company UTC .
