CMP records
CMP Records ( Creative Music Productions ) was a German record label founded in 1977 that initially only produced albums with jazz . Kurt Renker was initially solely responsible for the productions, and later Walter Quintus as well . The range of the label expanded to include rock-oriented fusion music and non-European music, especially from Asia, as well as world music .
The label was sold in 1997. For a time in the distribution of Edel Contraire ( Hamburg ), albums of this label are currently (2016) with few exceptions only available as remnants.
