The Série 2550 was the second series of 25 kV electric locomotives of the Portuguese State Railways (CP). They entered service in 1964 and were used on the main line between Lisbon and Porto . 20 locomotives were built; In 2012 none was in operation. In contrast to the earlier Série 2500 , the Série 2550 was built with a vehicle body made of stainless steel . They were built by Sorefame with components from the French company Alsthom .

The Série 4700 was built as a replacement in the years 2007–2009 .

One locomotive of the Série 2550 has been preserved, the others were scrapped.
