CRI-LEX-Records is a German record label that specializes in country , oldies and classic rock . The label belongs to the Müller Media Group in Ebensfeld .

history

The label was founded in Bamberg in 1992 and at the time primarily published country music. The group of companies includes three recording studios in Nuremberg , Werne and Ebensfeld , as well as a music publisher. The first albums by Rockin 'Roary and the hard rock band Chainbreaker from Nuremberg are now sought-after collector's items. Between 1995 and 2001 the label worked closely with the US label 5-Star-Music in Nashville and its owner Mike Waddell. Most of the country albums from this period were produced there.

In 1997 the company moved to Eckental near Nuremberg. The music area was expanded in 2003 by further sub-labels: CRISMA (instrumental music), Luga (special interests), Abema (German country music) and Masterton (remastered oldies from the 1950s and 1960s). The label releases limited and remastered single CD editions of well-known titles from the 1960s and 1970s. In 2010 it was expanded again and the headquarters were relocated to Ebensfeld in Upper Franconia for reasons of space . A copy line and a new distribution warehouse have now been added here.

The contract artist Rockin 'Roary, who died in 2009, was the first German artist in the country rock category to receive the King Eagle Award, which is coveted in the USA , in 1994 and 1995 . The US country singer Travis Truitt received the ACMF Award in Austria in 2008 for the best international country album. Well-known producers of the label include Werner Leismann, Gerd Skolmar, Claus Dittmar, Daniel T. Coates, Stevie Rain, Bernhard Huebner, Gerrit de Jong and Chris Mike.

Since 2015, the label has been the first German music label to break new ground. In the virtual 3D world of Second Life , a dedicated web radio (Radio Timemachine) is operated, which is used to bring in clips of live performances by the contract artists. The bands or artists appear synchronously as a virtual pedant to the music. The music can be downloaded directly from Amazon and other download portals using the links shown. So z. B. Chris Mike and Thunder - The Legend regularly once a month on the Isle Of Oblivion in the original replica of the Titty Twister from the film From Dusk Till Dawn , with great success. The radio can be accessed around the clock via the label's website.
