CX Huth

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

CX Huth (* 1964 in Anklam as Christian Huth ) is a German comic strip artist and illustrator .

life and work

CX Huth grew up in Neubrandenburg, but has lived in Berlin since 1983. Here he not only works as a comic artist and illustrator, but also works as a musician and DJ .

Huth co-founded the artist group “Renate” in the nineties, together with ATAK , Peter Bauer and Holger Lau . Huth has been working with the comic medium since 1989. Before that, he took part in various remedial classes and drawing courses in which he learned his trade.

In addition to "Renate", which he co-founded, CX Huth has also published stories in other magazines such as Zebra , Strapazin , Moga Mobo and Jimmy Draht .

Huth's drawing style is very direct and intuitive, as sketches are sometimes used consciously and colors are scraped and scratched directly on printing plates. This results in quite different works, which in their entirety, for example in his comics, come together again to form a unit.
