Properties of the vine

Budding, flowering and the beginning of ripening occur about a week later than with Pinot Noir. The frost resistance is considered good. Because of its later maturity, the variety claims better locations than the Pinot Noir . The resistance to the Echten- and downy mildew is good. While the tendency to trickle is low, Cabernet Carol tends to stalk .

Properties of the wine

The wines are strong, rich in color and have strong tannins . They have a typical Cabernet Sauvignon character.
