The Cacapon Inlet is a fjord-like bay between the Thomas Island and Fuller Island amid the High Jump archipelago . It is limited to the west by the Edisto glacier tongue and to the east by the Knox coast of Wilkesland .
It was mapped using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the USS Cacapon , a tanker used on this expedition .
