geography
The nutrient area of the Caldwell Glacier is on the southeast flank of Gurney Peak in the Kichatna Mountains . The glacier is located in Denali National Preserve . It flows around the east and south flanks of Lewis Peak in a south and later south-westerly direction. A tributary glacier that drains the southern flank of the Kichatna Spire meets the main glacier coming from the right. This ends after a distance of a total of 8 km at an altitude of about 670 m . The glacier forms the origin of the Kichatna River .
