The Kichatna River is a 85 km long right tributary of the Yentna River in Alaska (USA).
The Kichatna River has its origin at the glacier tongue of the Caldwell Glacier in the Kichatna Mountains in the south of the Alaska range . It drains the south flank of the Cathedral Spiers . It initially flows 5 km to the south. Below the confluence of Morris Creek from the right, the river turns to the southeast. Its river valley forms the southern limit of the Kichatna Mountains. The Kichatna River slowly reaches the lowlands and turns to the east after a total of 40 km. After another 25 km the Nakochna River meets the Kichatna River from the left. This then flows again for the last few kilometers in a south-easterly direction. The Kichatna River drains approximately an area of 1250 km².
