The Caleta Barra (in Argentina Caleta Heroína ) is a side bay of Hughes Bay on the Danco Coast of Graham Lands on the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located southwest of Valdivia Point .
Chilean scientists named it after Carlos Barra von Kretschmann, captain of the Piloto Pardo on the 26th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1971–1972). The name giver of the Argentine name is the Heroína , one of the two ships of the Argentine Antarctic expedition carried out between 1948 and 1949.
