The Caleta Prieto ( English ; in Argentina Caleta Quintero ) is a side bay of Wilhelmina Bay on the Danco coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies between the Bahía Cordovez in the north and the Caleta Acosta in the south.
Chilean scientists named it after the Chilean hydrographer Leonardo Prieto Vial (1936–2003), who took part in the 18th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1963–1964) on the Angamos . The namesake of the Argentine name has not been passed down.
