history

The project, originally from South America, was presented to the public by the Abu Dhabi- based mechanical engineering company Calidus at the 2017 Dubai Air Show . Two prototypes (as of January 2018) have been built, the first of which made its maiden flight in São José dos Campos in July 2017 . Only 25 months passed between the start of the project and the first flight. The aircraft is to be manufactured in Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates .

construction

The aircraft is a single - engine, low- wing aircraft with a PT6A-68 turboprop engine . It has a retractable landing gear and a pressurized cabin for two pilots. The airframe is made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic and is being developed by the Brazilian company NOVAER, which was involved in the development of the Embraer EMB 314 Super Tucano . The designer of the B-250, Joseph Kovács, was already involved in the development of the Embraer EMB 312 Tucano . The avionics are supplied by Rockwell Collins (USA) and are a modification of the Pro Line Fusion package used in civil aircraft .
