The Calore Lucano is a river in southwest Italy.

geography

The river has its source in the high mountains of the Cilento near Monte Cervati . It flows in the area of ​​the mountains first in a northerly direction past the municipalities of Laurino , Felitto , Aquara and Castelcivita . In the plain of the Sele it then runs parallel to the Sele for a while in a westerly direction, and then joins it about 5 kilometers before the mouth of the Sele into the Tyrrhenian Sea .

Hydrology

The water of the Calore Lucano comes on the one hand from the spring, on the other hand numerous tributaries feed the river, most of which also originate in the northern part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park . The average amount of water in this river is 29.30 m³ per second.
