Calvin Lewis Collins (* 5. January 1974 in Beaumont , Texas ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the offensive guards and centers . He played in his career with the Minnesota Vikings and the Atlanta Falcons in the National Football League .

Early years

Collins attended high school in his native Beaumont. He later attended Texas A&M University .

NFL

Atlanta Falcons

Collins was selected in the 1997 NFL Draft in the sixth round in 180th place by the Atlanta Falcons . In his first season with the Falcons, he started as a center . In his second season he moved to the position of the left guard . He moved into Super Bowl XXXIII with the Falcons , which was lost to the Denver Broncos at 34:19 .

Minnesota Vikings

For the 2001 season , Collins was hired by the Minnesota Vikings . Here he played seven games.

Hoston Texans, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Denver Broncos

For the 2002 season he signed a contract with the Houston Texans . Due to an injury, however, he was released early. In 2003 he tried another attempt at the Pittsburgh Steelers , in 2004 at the Denver Broncos . However, he did not make it into the final squad.
