Camille Lemonnier

Camille Lemonnier (born March 24, 1844 in Ixelles , † June 13, 1913 in Brussels ) was a Belgian narrator of naturalism .

Live and act

Camille Lemonnier studied law and, after successfully completing this, got a job with the government administration. During his studies he began to write literary texts and after a few years he quit his job to devote himself only to writing.

He was a member of the group “ La Jeune Belgique ”. His main fiction works include u. a. Happe-chair (1886) and Le Vent dans les moulins (1901); in his non-fiction books he sat a. a. with Gustave Courbet , Salon de Bruxelles and Claude Monet .
