Canata , also Cutlo under certain conditions , was a volume measure in Ragusa and a measure dependent on the Barill / Barilla.

  • Generally 1 Barill (Venez.) = 4 Lecchi = 16 Bozze

The serving measure Canata was on the island of Curzola , Budua and in the region of Cattaro (today Kotor ) the 75th part of the Venetian Barill.

Oil measure

The 60th part of the Venetian Barill was common in the Cattaro region (now Kutor) and in Budua.

  • 1 barill (Venez.) = 60 oil cans
    • 1 oil canata = 0.75853 measure (Wiener = 1.414724 l) = 1.07 liters

The 84th part of the Venetian Barill in Ragusa, Lagosta and Slano was called Cutlo / Cuttlo .

    • 1 Cutlo = 0.54189 Maß (Wiener) = 0.765 liters (Cutlo di Ragusa)
  • Slano 1 Cutlo = 0.437 measure (Wiener) = 0.618 liters
