Candice Rialson

Candice Rialson (also Candy Rialson ; born December 18, 1951 in Santa Monica , California , † March 31, 2006 in Palmdale , California) was an American actress who mainly starred in B-films .

Life

Rialson won at age 18 in a beauty contest called "Miss Hermosa Beach" and gave the same year her film debut as a bikini girl in the comedy The Gay Deceivers of Bruce Kessler . She starred in several exploitation films in the 1970s such as Animal Women (1974), Mama's Dirty Girls (1974) and Summer School Teachers (all 1974). Some guest appearances on television series such as Shaft and Maude also made her known to a wider audience.

She also starred in the Hollywood films Escape to the 23rd Century , For The Dragon and Mel Brooks' Final Madness: Silent Movie . Her best-known role was in Joe Dante's film Hollywood Boulevard . In 1980 she ended her acting career.

Quentin Tarantino referred to Candice Rialson as the inspiration for the character Melanie Ralston in Jackie Brown .
