Candido Maria Frattini

Candido Maria Frattini (born September 10, 1767 in Rome , † September 29, 1821 there ) was an Italian bishop of the Curia .

Life

Candido Maria Frattini received on 5 June 1791, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He was from the University La Sapienza of Doctor of theology doctorate and was a canon at the collegiate of Sant'Anastasia . Pope Pius VI sent him in 1796 to the Tribunal for Spiritual Affairs of the Vicariate of Rome . These tasks he took of to restore the Papal States true. On June 23, 1812, after the death of the previous incumbent, he was appointed custodian of the relics by the pro- vice tenant Domenico Attanasioappointed. On October 9, 1812, Candido Maria Frattini was deported to Bastia in Corsica because he refused to take the oath to the Napoleonic Empire . After he was liberated on April 18, 1814 and returned to Rome, he became a member of the Congregation for Reforms on June 4 of the same year. Cardinal Vicar Giulio Maria della Somaglia confirmed him on June 10, 1814 as custodian.

After Candido Maria Frattini had been promoted to Vice-tenant and titular Archbishop of Philippi , the Cardinal Bishop of Sabina Lorenzo Litta donated him episcopal ordination on September 26, 1814 ; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops Tommaso Maria Raimondo Leopoldo Arezzo and Giovanni Francesco Guerrieri . On August 20, 1814 he became consultor of the Holy Office and on September 16, 1814 examiner of the bishops in canon law.

Candido Maria Frattini died in Rome and was buried in the local church of Sant'Anastasia .
