In October 2009, the Spanish editor Luis Venegas published his third magazine Candy - The First Transversal Style Magazine. Traditionally, the first edition, with a limited edition of 1000 pieces, joins the series of Fanzine137 and EY! Magateen . Candy contains fashion editorials that are accompanied by extensive, full-page photo series and further supplemented by interviews; about the transgender and transvestite lifestyles . As the name suggests, it is a magazine that is aimed in particular at transsexuals , cross-dressers , androgynous and travesty enthusiasts. In terms of content, it is not, as in many other homosexual magazines, about the discussion of the rights of homosexuals. Candy deliberately appears as a transgender magazine. The second edition increased from 192 to 337 pages and was completely sold out within two days. Issues of these out of print editions now cost several hundred dollars on eBay. Otherwise, the magazine is available for between € 42 and € 82. In 2013 the sixth and seventh editions of Candy appeared.
After the initial release, stars such as fashion designer Marc Jacobs began to officially present themselves for current fashion series in women's fashion. The fashion industry is also increasingly using androgynous models for its campaigns. British actress Tilda Swinton underwent a makeover in the fourth edition of Candy.
