Cangnan
Cangnan ( 苍南县 , Cāngnán Xiàn ) is a district of the prefecture -level city of Wenzhou in the Chinese province of Zhejiang . It has an area of 1,272 square kilometers and has 1,243,800 inhabitants (as of 2009). Its main town is the large municipality of Lingxi (灵溪镇).
The Puzhuangsuo Fortress (Puzhuangsuo cheng 蒲 壮 所 城) and the Wudong Bridge of Chixi (Chixi Wudong qiao 赤溪 五 洞桥), a stone slab bridge made of five slabs from the Southern Song Dynasty , have stood since 1996 and 2006, respectively on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China , the megalithic tombs of South Zhejiang ( Zhenan shipengmu qun ) since 2001.
Administrative structure
At the community level, the district is made up of twenty large communities and sixteen communities (including two nationality communities of the She ).
