The Canopus Rocks are two small and low reef rocks off the Mawson coast of the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the eastern part of Holme Bay they are 1.5 km northwest of Canopus Island .
They were mapped using aerial photographs taken in 1958 as part of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions . The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) named them in connection with the naming of Canopus Island, whose namesake is the star Canopus .
