The Canyon Glacier is a 56 km long glacier on the Dufek coast of the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It flows from the northwestern slopes of Mount Wexler between the steep walls of the Separation Range and the Hughes Range and flows west of the Giovinco Piedmont Glacier into the Ross Ice Shelf .
The glacier was discovered during the New Zealand Alpine Club Antarctic Expedition (1959-1960) when climbing Mount Patrick . It is named after the canyon-like valley shape through which the glacier flows.
