The Cape Ptichje ( English ; Russian Мыс Птичье Mys Ptitschje , German 'Cape Bird' ) is a cape on the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located in the area of the Bunger Oasis .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped it and named it in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated the name into English.
