Prepared capellini

Capellini are an Italian type of pasta .

The Capellini are an extremely thin pasta shape from Italian cuisine, usually 0.88 millimeters in diameter, similar to spaghetti . After the little-known and often confused Capelli d'angelo, they are the thinnest form of pasta in Italian cuisine. The Capellini consist of durum wheat semolina and, despite their small thickness, are boil-proof and, with a cooking time of three minutes, are among the quickest pasta to cook . They are mostly used as a filler in broth or in combination with very light sauces . The name Capellini comes from Italian , where it means something like 'little hair'.
