The Capital Group Companies, Inc. is a US investment company that invests in large companies on behalf of many clients. Capital Group Companies is based in Los Angeles ( California ) and has claims to have 7,000 employees (as of July 2015) in 20 offices worldwide and manages assets worth 1.6 trillion (as of 30 June 2017 ).

Subsidiaries include: Capital International, Capital Guardian, Capital Research and Management, Capital Bank and Trust, and American Funds.

In a study published in 2011 at ETH Zurich , Capital Group Companies was listed as the second most influential company in the world economy.

The Capital Group holds stakes in several large German companies such as Deutsche Bank , Bayer AG , SAP AG , Siemens AG , Volkswagen AG , Infineon Technologies AG , Axel Springer SE , and internationally in Geberit AG (Switzerland), Emmi AG (Switzerland) Telecom Austria Group (Austria) Goldman Sachs (USA), BYD Co LTD. (China), International Airlines Group (IAG), Royal Dutch Shell (Netherlands) and other companies.

In February 2020 it was announced that Capital Group had acquired 64 million shares , around 3.1 percent of the shares, in Deutsche Bank .

Carl M. Kawaja of the investment company Capital Group also manages the US $ 160.34 billion (2017) investment fund American Funds, EuroPacific Growth Fund (AEPGX).
