N - (carboxymethyl) - N , N -dimethyl-3 - {[(3,3,4,4,5,5,6,6,7,7,8,8,8-tridecafluorooctyl) sulfonyl] amino} - 1-propanaminium is a polyfluorinated surfactant thatis contained in high proportionsin AFFF - fire extinguishing foam agents of the products frequently used in Germany ( e.g. the fluorosurfactant Capstone 1157 ).
The chemical is a betaine and a derivative of 6: 2 fluorotelomersulfonic acid .
