Cara Theobold

Cara Louise Theobold (born January 8, 1990 in Harrogate ) is a British actress . She became known for the role of Ivy Stuart in Downton Abbey . She also speaks the character Tracer in the video game Overwatch .

life and career

Theobold attended Outwood Grange Academy and studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama . In her final year of drama school in 2011, she auditioned for the role of Ivy Stuart in Downton Abbey , which she received. So that she could start shooting for the series from Easter, she was allowed to finish her final year earlier than her classmates. With her role, which rose from a supporting and a leading role in season four, she was part of the ensemble cast that was named Best Acting Company in a Drama Series at the Screen Actors Guild Awards 2015 . After a few minor guest roles, she won series lead roles in the third season of The Syndicate , Together and the TV movie Harry Price Ghosthunter in 2015 . In 2016 she starred in Crazyhead alongside Susan Wokoma . She has been in Absentia since 2017 . In 2019 she shot for the film Around the Sun alongside Gethin Anthony and for the series Zomboat! next to Leah Brotherhead .

Since 2016 she has been the voice actress for the character Tracer from the video game Overwatch , who also appeared in the game Heroes of the Storm in 2016 and in the film Ready Player One in 2018 . She was nominated for the Behind the Voice Actors Awards in 2017 for her performance with the role.
