Ulla Flegel

Ulla Flegel (born October 22, 1939 in Linz ) is a former Austrian pentathlete , high jumper , sprinter and hurdler .

Career

In the pentathlon she came in the European Athletics Championships in 1958 in Stockholm on the 15th place and 1962 in Belgrade ninth.

At the 1964 Olympic Games, she learned too late that she had qualified for the high jump final. She had to compete barefoot and remained without a valid attempt. She also pursued bad luck in the pentathlon . In the final 200-meter run , she pulled a muscle, remained without points and fell back to 20th and last place.

She was Austrian champion in pentathlon three times (1960, 1962, 1963), twice in high jump (1959, 1962) and once each over 100 m (1960) and 80 m hurdles (1962).
