Carapelhos is a town and municipality in Portugal .
history
The place was known as Arneiro da Carreira in 1758 and belonged to the municipality of Covões . In 1898 the place was already listed as Carapelhos and now belonged to the municipality of Mira. On December 31, 1984, Carapelhos became an independent parish in Mira County.
