Carl-Adam Nycop

Carl-Adam Nycop (born July 24, 1909 in Helsinki , † July 4, 2006 in Kristianstad ) was a Finnish - Swedish journalist , editor-in-chief and author .

Life

Nycop was initially a correspondent for the newspaper Idrottsbladet in his hometown Helsinki. In 1938 he became the first editor-in-chief of Se , a Swedish version of the US magazine Life .

The publisher Albert Bonnier Jr hired Nycop in 1944 to set up the daily Expressen . Bonnier and Nycops endeavored to start Expressen as a social democratic counterweight to the Nazi-friendly daily Aftonbladet .

Carl-Adam Nycop left Expressen in 1962 . He then worked in various tasks up to the publishing director within the Bonnier publishing house. In 1974 he became a media advisor for the Swedish Social Democratic Party .
