Carl Bechler

Carl Bechler (born February 15, 1886 in Danzig ; † March 29, 1945 ibid.) Was a German sprinter and javelin thrower .

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908, he was eliminated over 100 m in the preliminary run. Its placement in the javelin throw (central grip) is not known.

Bechler started for SpVgg ASCO Königsberg . Later, he was teacher and longtime head of the Gdansk traffic control center; he was also active in literature. Because he was married to a Jew, he lost his position under the Nazi regime. He died when an air raid shelter was shot at.
