Carl Beichling

Carl Heinrich Beichling , also modernized Karl Heinrich Beichling , (born April 28, 1803 in Dresden , † September 9, 1876 in Tilsit ) was a German architecture and landscape painter , etcher , engraver and lithographer .

Life

After graduating from school, Beichling attended the art academy in his hometown from 1823 to 1832 . In addition to landscape paintings, he also created architectural views and etchings, including from the Kingdom of Bohemia. Some of his pictures were first published as copperplate engravings, later as steel engravings or lithographs.

His son Hermann Beichling also became an etcher.

Works (selection)

  • One of his most important works are the 30 sheets of the prospects and prospects of the Tetschen rule in Bohemia by Carl Friedrich Grünwald, which he published between 1826 and 1828.
  • In the exhibitions the Art Academy in Dresden were among others 1837 Ruins Castle Eger and 1864, the water tower in Bauzen and the interior of the Nuremberg Lorenz Church to see.
