Carl Claussen (Manager)
Carl Claussen (* 1878 in Bremerhaven ; † 1954 in Hamburg ) was a German business manager .
Career
Claussen worked in his father's forwarding business until 1927/28. In 1920 he became a member of the supervisory board of Beiersdorf GmbH and after the politically forced resignation of Willy Jacobsohn, he became the company's general manager. He managed the company through the Nazi era until 1954. During this period, the reconstruction after the end of the Second World War took place.
From 1908 he was married to Martha Pulvermacher, a niece of Oscar Troplowitz . Her son Georg Wilhelm Claussen succeeded his father on the Beiersdorf board.
