Carl Cleveland Taylor

Carl Cleveland Taylor (born December 16, 1884 in Iowa , † February 10, 1975 ) was an American sociologist and 36th President of the American Sociological Association . His specialty was the Rural Sociology ( Rural Sociology ).

Taylor had studied economics and sociology before he took over activities in the state agricultural administration from 1934. In 1943 he conducted agricultural sociological research in Argentina for a year on behalf of the US State Department .

He was a member of the American Country Life Association , the Rural Sociology Society, and served as President of the American Sociological Association in 1946.
