Carl Friedrich von Haas

Carl Friedrich Maximilian Haas , from 1840 von Haas , (born November 16, 1794 in Hochdorf , Oberamt Vaihingen ; † February 2, 1884 in Mergentheim ) was a Württemberg governor and member of the state parliament.

life and work

Carl Friedrich Haas was the son of Hochdorf pastor Ludwig Friedrich Haas (1765–1848) and Luise Beck. He married Lina Luise von Adelsheim-Wachbach.

After attending grammar school, Carl Friedrich Haas trained as a clerk. From 1814 to 1817 he studied law in Tübingen . He was a member of the old fraternity Arminia and in 1818 one of the founders of the fraternity Germania Tübingen . From 1817 to 1819 he worked as an administrative actuary at the Oberamt Backnang and from 1819 to 1821 as a secretary at the court of the Danube district in Ulm. From 1821 to 1825 he was secretary and senior judicial assessor at the court of the Jagstkreis in Ellwangen and from 1825 to 1829 administrator of the Gotteszell penal institution in the Schwäbisch Gmünd Oberamt. In 1831 he became chief magistrate in Maulbronn and in the same year subordinate councilor at the University of Tübingen. From 1836 to 1847, Carl Friedrich Haas was finally chief magistrate at the Oberamt Ulm and from 1847 to 1857 at the Oberamt Mergentheim . In 1857 he retired.

From 1833 to 1838 Haas was a member of the upper office of Aalen in the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament .
