Carl Giesecken

Carl Giesecken (* July 12, 1828 in Korbach ; † January 1, 1891 ibid) was a German lawyer and district administrator.

Life

Giesecken was the son of the first district administrator in the Waldeck district of Eisenberg, Adolph Giesecken. His mother came from the Waldeck family of politicians and officials. After attending the old state school in Korbach , he studied law at the University of Göttingen from 1848 and became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . After passing his exam in 1852 and working as an assessor in Waldeck , he became a lawyer in Korbach in 1856 and director of the local private savings bank in 1860 . In 1873 he was initially provisional, from 1876 onwards he was finally a district administrator (d. I. District administrator) of the Eisenberg district, like his father when this district was founded in 1850. As a district, he led the previously private savings in a savings bank , today Sparkasse Waldeck-Frankenberg .

Giesecke was married to Wilhelmine Karoline geb. Knoch, daughter of the landowner Carl Knoch in Berndorf . The marriage remained childless.
