Carl Gottlob Boden

Carl Gottlob Boden (born November 4, 1797 in Großröhrsdorf ; † January 30, 1877 ibid) was a German industrialist in Großröhrsdorf who ran a factory for tape and belt production .

He was born as the son of marlin , art and silk weaver Johann Gottfried Boden and his wife Anna Rosina nee. Tschiedrich (or Schiedrich) was born in Großröhrsdorf. In 1834 he was the first to introduce the jacquard loom in ribbon and belt manufacture. In 1869 he received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Albrecht from King Johann of Saxony .

His son Ernst Traugott Boden and his grandson Edmund Theophron Boden were also active as industrialists, the latter with a drawing material factory in Wilhelmsdorf in Middle Franconia .
