Carl Knetsch

Carl Knetsch (born April 17, 1874 in Kassel , † July 27, 1938 in Marburg ) was a German archivist and historian .

Life

Knetsch studied history and had been in the training service of the Prussian State Archives Administration since 1898. From 1905 he was assistant at the Marburg State Archives , then archivist, archivist and from 1929 until his death finally archivist there.

In 1929 he was made an honorary member of the Society for Family Studies in Kurhessen and Waldeck .
