Johann Friedrich Ludwig Thiele

Johann Friedrich Ludwig Thiele (born November 18, 1816 in Harzgerode , Quedlinburg district , † September 17, 1848 in Berlin ) was a German organist and composer . He was also called Carl Ludwig Thiele .

He received his first music lessons from his father, who was a singer in Berlin at the time. Later he was a student of August Wilhelm Bach . Thiele soon showed his musical ability, especially on the organ, on which he developed an extraordinary talent. Thereupon he got the position of organist at the Parochialkirche in Berlin in 1839 . He wrote a large number of concert pieces for the organ.

Thiele died of cholera at the age of 31 . His grave is in Berlin-Mitte .
