Carl Ritter von Rasp

Carl (Karl) Ritter von Rasp (born November 3, 1848 in Munich ; † May 14, 1927 there ) was a German insurance expert.

He studied law in Munich, took part in the Franco-Prussian War before taking the two state law exams. During his studies he joined the Academic Choral Society Munich (AGV). In 1875 he joined the city of Munich as Secretary of the Magistrate (later Magistrate Council).

Rasp was general director of Bayerische Versicherungsbank AG from 1906 to 1923 . In addition, Ritter von Rasp was a co-founder of several important insurance associations, for example in 1911 what was later to become the Reich Association of Private Insurance , which at that time was still called the Association of German Private Insurance.
