Carl Salm

Carl Salm (born September 16, 1888 in Cologne ; † 1939 there ) was a German writer .

Life

Carl Salm was severely disabled ; both hands were missing. He was largely self-taught and worked as a journalist in Cologne ; At times he was editor-in-chief of the illustrated magazine Kölner Leben . In addition, he wrote essays , but above all poems and, in addition to some anthologies, published the series of leaflets on Rhenish poetry from 1913 to 1918 and Die Westphalian poetry in leaflets from 1917 to 1919 . Salm received several scholarships from the Johannes Fastenrath Foundation in Cologne .
