Carl von Malchus
Baron Carl von Malchus , also Karl von Malchus (born August 5, 1835 in Ludwigsburg , † September 27, 1889 in Munich ) was a German marine painter.
Malchus, the son of a general, began his painting studies at the age of 47 on July 20, 1882 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich and became a student of Franz Adam , Adolf Heinrich Lier and Franz Defregger
He spent the years from 1886 to 1888 in the Netherlands , mostly in Rotterdam . He also went on study trips to Italy .
He died in 1889 at the age of 54.
