Carla Prina (* 1911 in Como ; † March 28, 2008 in La Douvaz , Villars-Burquin ) was an Italian painter who belonged to the last generation of Italian futurists .

Life

From 1932 to 1936 Carla Prina studied at the Accademia di Brera in Milan and then for a year at the Istituto di Cultura in Rodi . In her native Como she came into contact with representatives of abstract art ( Mario Radice , Manlio Rho , Carla Badiali , Aldo Galli ) at an early age . These had come together to form the Antonio Sant'Elia artist group. In the Rhos studio she met her future husband, the architect Alberto Sartoris . At this point in time, Sartoris was closely associated with the second futurist movement around the Turin artist Luigi Colombo (Fillia), but in the course of the 1930s he joined the Como group of rationalist architects, where he met Giuseppe Terragni .

Her works have been exhibited in Barcelona , Céret d'Ales and Puerto de la Cruz , among others .
